You believe that God is one; well and good. Even the demons believe that—and tremble with fear.
Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels!
Then they brought to him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute.
A Canaanite woman from that area came and cried out, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is horribly demon-possessed!”
and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son because he has seizures and suffers terribly, for he often falls into the fire and into the water.
He lived among the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For his hands and feet had often been bound with chains and shackles, but he had torn the chains apart and broken the shackles in pieces. No one was strong enough to subdue him.
Now as we were going to the place of prayer, a slave girl met us who had a spirit that enabled her to foretell the future by supernatural means. She brought her owners a great profit by fortune-telling.
Then the man who was possessed by the evil spirit jumped on them and beat them all into submission. He prevailed against them so that they fled from that house naked and wounded.
Then they brought to him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute. Jesus healed him so that he could speak and see.
Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, your faith is great! Let what you want be done for you.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
Then Jesus rebuked the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed from that moment.
So he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. But he would not permit the demons to speak because they knew him.
So he went into all of Galilee preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.
Then he cried out with a loud voice, “Leave me alone, Jesus, Son of the Most High God! I implore you by God—do not torment me!” 8 (For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of that man, you unclean spirit!”)
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
He appointed 12 so that they would be with him and he could send them to preach and to have authority to cast out demons.
They cast out many demons and anointed many sick people with olive oil and healed them.
John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he was not following us.”
John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he is not a disciple along with us.”
She continued to do this for many days. But Paul became greatly annoyed, and turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out of her at once.
